Northampton County Housing Authority will provide affordable housing in the most efficient and effective manner to qualified individuals. In accordance with the rules and regulations prescribed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Housing Choice Voucher WAITING LIST OPENING
The Northampton County Housing Authority will open the Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list from Tuesday August 15th, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. to Friday August 18th, 2023, at 9 A.M.
Applications will ONLY be accepted online at www.northamptoncountyha.org. Applications MUST be submitted online by Friday August 18th, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. to be accepted. For questions email intake@northamptoncountyha.org.
Veterans and their surviving spouses will receive three preference points.
Applicants who live, work, or have been hired to work in Northampton County, Pennsylvania will receive two preference points.
Applicants who are unsubsidized will receive one preference point.
All other applicants will receive no preference points.
You will receive a letter in the mail if your application has been processed within 6 weeks of list closing. This letter is your proof that your application was accepted and that you were added to the waiting list. You will be contacted to complete a full application when your name nears the top of the waiting list.
The income limits, effective May 15th, 2023, are as follows:

Northampton County Housing Authority reserves the right to select families based on local preferences according to the date and time of application or by a random selection process (lottery).
Therefore, all applicants may not be placed upon a waiting list and acceptance of an application does not guarantee eligibility. You must meet the eligibility requirements in the Northampton County Housing Authority’s Housing Choice Voucher’s Administrative Plan.
You are required to notify the Northampton County Housing Authority in writing of all changes such as address, phone number, email address, etc., after you submit this pre-application. Failure to report changes may result in your removal from the waiting list without further notice.
